Vinted Shoppers Voice Displeasure Over Size Modifications
Members of the platform have expressed outrage after an update resulted in items being listed as the wrong size.
The second-hand shopping app has updated its measurement guidelines for women's and children's clothes without notifying every member regarding the update.

Many shoppers and sellers are expressing on platforms saying Vinted listings now show a modified sizing category versus the original listing as a result of the reclassification.
Vinted explained the new system was more in line with other platforms.
They have suggested members to review their products and manually change the size when needed, resulting in member annoyance.
Sizing System Updates
Before the change, the sizes had both one number and one letter, such as S/8 or M/10.
The updated approach includes a letter with a size spectrum for example S/UK 8-10.
In some cases, the measurements have been reclassified - such as a large size used to be a 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18.
Shopper Accounts
A fashion influencer, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, explained the modification "makes transactions more difficult".
"Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," which is what Vinted now does.
A different member, located in Scotland, stated items she posted featuring size 14 markings were appearing on the platform as measurements 20-22.
"Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they're going to be very disappointed," she said.
Necessary Adjustments
Another shopper, from Derby, explained she became annoyed due to the update requiring manual adjustment the sizes on "every single listing".
"This situation is especially annoying, since I have chronic health issues and selling on Vinted has been paramount for me since losing part of my income," she explained.
Platform Context
The app has more than 100 million shoppers, with 18 million British users.
It has emerged as a preferred choice versus similar marketplaces including eBay and Depop.
This is not the initial instance when a surprising modification within the service has received backlash: earlier, the platform withdrew an update regarding delivery choices after backlash from users.
